Production should have ceased December 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2021, and distribution by March 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2022*. It is also important to be sure you de-register from the FDA\u2019s OTC monograph system if you registered to produce hand sanitizer under the now withdrawn guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do I de-register?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FDA is sharing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/drugs\/news-events-human-drugs\/electronic-drug-registration-and-listing-edrls-using-cder-direct-10132021-10132021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">training<\/a> and additional resources below to assist in submission questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To de-register using <a href=\"https:\/\/direct.fda.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDER Direct<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the previously submitted and accepted Establishment Registration<\/li><li>Click Create New Version<\/li><li>Change the document type to Establishment De-Registration and Submit SPL.<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>*After March 31, 2022, only hand sanitizer products prepared in compliance with all applicable requirements, including the tentative final monograph for over-the-counter topical antiseptics, as amended, may be distributed by manufacturers.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FDA has withdrawn all three guidance documents which allowed distilleries to produce and distribute hand sanitizer as an emergency measure during the pandemic.
