2011
Tired of dealing with spreadsheets, Stranahan’s former GM starts Distillery Solutions (Stillhouse) to make it easier for distilleries to stay compliant and file their federal reports.
2015
With the help of a new development team, Distillery Solutions launches Stillhouse v2, now DISTILL x 5, redesigned to make it easier than ever to see what’s happening in your distillery.
2017
Realizing that breweries have just as much process to manage as distilleries, Distillery Solutions begins building Brewhouse, a new product aimed to make things as easy for brewers as Stillhouse does for distillers.
2018
Distillery Solutions rebrands to FIVE x 5 Solutions to unify two products under one brand making it easier to make great things for any future partner. Brewhouse becomes BREW x 5, and Stillhouse is rebranded as DISTILL x 5.
2019
FIVE x 5 joins Volaris Group, paving the way for future stability by gaining the support of a larger company’s experience and expertise while ensuring the long-term availability of FIVE x 5 products.
After much discussion, FIVE x 5 makes the hard decision to pull BREW x 5 off the market, leaving the craft beer industry in the capable hands of other great software products. The company continues to support the industry with strong purchasing habits.
2020
FIVE x 5 adds Whiskey Systems to its available products, ensuring its success and long-term availability as well. With DISTILL x 5 and Whiskey Systems, FIVE x 5 Solutions now serves nearly half of US craft distilleries and is able to combine resources to continue to serve the industry as a whole.
Consulting services are added to FIVE x 5’s product offerings, leveraging the experience and expertise of the team to help both clients and distilleries across the US with compliance, process, and reporting challenges.
2021
FIVE x 5 launches a new brand suite, bringing DISTILL x 5 and Whiskey Systems under new, streamlined branding.
2022
FIVE x 5 launches an updated brand suite, bringing DISTILL x 5 and Whiskey Systems under unified branding.
2024
FIVE x 5 drops “Solutions”, simplifying and modernizing the brand in one move.
