TTB has made a significant change to fill height regulations – one that most distilleries will find positive. They eliminated the distinction between bottles and cans, and added thirteen new authorized fill sizes!
Allowable Fill Heights, Prior to January 10th, 2025:

And here’s the updated list – all the fill heights shown below are now acceptable for both Bottles and Cans. Newly added fill heights in bold, and aluminum can standard sizes have been identified (in oz terms) for your convenience:

Not only can a distillery now legally fill many different aluminum can sizes, but also several glass bottles (e.g. 11.25 or 12oz beer bottle with crown cap) are now allowable where they were formerly forbidden.
